Abstract

Neuroblastoma is one of the childhood tumors that arises from primitive neuroblastic cells of the sympathetic nervous system. Neuroblastoma patients can present with several clinical symptoms according to the tumor localization and the presence of metastases. Abdominal mass, localized back pain, weakness and atrophy in the lower extremities, paraplegia, walking problems, bladder and anal sphincter dysfunction, limping, orbital-periorbital involvement (raccoon eyes), exophthalmos, ptosis, dyspnea, dysphagia, lymphatic compression, superior vena cava syndrome and Horner’s syndrome are some of these symptoms. In this paper, two cases who presented with complaints of lower extremity pain and limping and were then diagnosed with neuroblastoma are presented.
