Abstract
Startle epilepsy is characterized by seizures triggered by unexpected sudden sounds or somatosensory stimuli. Seziures are usually generalized tonic and symptomatic. It may be associated with various disorders but the most common is perinatal hypoxia. Startle epilepsy has been reported rarely after head injuries in children. We present a child who had seizures triggered by sudden sounds after head injuries.
