Abstract
Henoch-Schönlein purpura is the most common vasculitis of childhood characterized by arthritis/arrthralgia, gastrointestinal and genitourinary system involvement with associated non- thrombocytopenic purpura. Pulmoner involvement is rare, but important because of its higher mortality and morbidity. We present a case of HSP with atypical skin involvement, gastrointestinal and respiratory symptoms. Clinical improvement was achieved after treatment with high-dose methylprednisolone. Because of the high mortality and morbidity in HSP cases with respiratory system involvement, treatment should be fast and intensive.
